27th December: Sacha’s future wife, Berthe Faige Lerner, is born in the 11th Arrondissement of Paris.
31st December: Sacha is born in Radomyshl, Ukraine.

According to Sacha, he leaves Odessa for Paris.
1912
According to Sacha, he stays with Kalinine and studies under Raphaël Colin.
1914
16th March: Sacha marries Berthe Faeige Lerner (here, on page 27 – Acte 604 – Zaliouk Lerner).
1 August: Germany declares war on Russia and France.
1916
6th January: Sacha arrives at the Corps. His record states ‘Contre l’Allemagne…Interieur’ – Against Germany, interior until 22nd September 1917.
15th April: Paulette Sèverine Zaliouk, Sacha and Berthe’s daughter, is born (birth certificate – page 10, Acte 769) at 59 Avenue de la Republique.
Of this year, Sacha writes: “Death still dances!…”
1917
11th April: On subsistence (duty)
Of this year, Sacha writes: “A change: I leave for the Orient [or, the East] ; 22 months between Thessaloniki and the Romanian border … malaria… fevers…”
L’Univers israélite later wrote that Sacha ‘joined the French army and was sent to Macedonia’.
1919
27th March: His record implies his time in the East ended here.
28th May: Sacha is discharged from the military.
Of this year, Sacha writes: “Return to France. Vive la France ! I am French and demobilised…”
1925
12th February: La Horde du Montparnasse, the artistic group, is founded by M. E Fernand-Dubois. Sacha is one of the founding members. The group hosts parties and a type of market where artists can sell their work.
30th May: Sacha and Berthe’s daughter Paulette dies, aged 9, at 59 Avenue de la République. (Certificate, page 9, Acte 1650).
1939
1st September: Germany invades Poland.
3rd September: Britain and France declare war on Germany.
Sacha’s life at this point becomes difficult to track.
1964
27th September: Berthe passes away. She is buried with her family at the Pere-Lachaise plot, where Pauline was also buried
1971
13th March: Sacha passes away at the age of 83, and is buried with his wife, daughter, and the Lerner family at the same plot.
