In between researching Radomyshl, I have also been investigating Dubois and Daveline, two members of La Horde, the artistic group which Sacha joined. You can find more information about the group here.
M. E. Fernand-Dubois (1869–1952) has a Wikipedia page. As we know, Sacha’s own Wikipedia is not fully accurate (believe me, I will work on that too!), so I am wary of trusting anything posted for Dubois. That is not to say it can’t be accurate – it’s mostly reviewing the sources or lack thereof.
I recently paid for a premium account with RetroNews in the hopes of accessing additional material. I’ll also be using the usual archival sources to uncover more about Dubois.
Daveline has been much harder. She appears in many newspapers, her paintings/exhibitions/appearances in connection with La Horde, and like most artists of the time, went by a mononym or she is sometimes referred to with the title ‘Mlle Daveline’ – but I have very little on her origins or her entire life, hence my interest in discovering more about her.
So, to summarise my recent work – I am looking into Radomyshl and La Horde. I would like to work on Sacha’s Wikipedia (I have never edited a Wiki, so, silly as it sounds, I would like to be sure I don’t remove anything that is important or rewrite the whole thing!)
